Experienced and Fair
Helene is a Trial Attorney running for Trial Judge. With over 33 years of legal experience, Helene Daniel is eminently qualified to serve as a Circuit Court Judge. Her integrity and temperament make her the right choice for Judge.
During the course of her extensive professional career, Helene has represented plaintiffs, defendants, insurance carriers and physicians largely in circuit civil court. She has tried many jury trials. Early in her career, she practiced criminal and adoption litigation. She also served as corporate counsel handling real estate development and franchise work. More recently, she was general counsel of a Tampa medical practice and surgery center where she focused extensively on healthcare law.
Helene has been a Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court Civil Mediator since 2001. Her experience as both a mediator and a trial attorney will serve her well on the bench.
Originally from France, Helene, her Mother and three Sisters came to America to start a new life. They settled in West Palm Beach where Helene began to learn how to speak English. She was almost 13 years old.
Determined to learn how to speak English as fast as possible, Helene joined her high school’s Speech and Debate Team. There, she learned the art of speech writing and public speaking.
Her Mother and Sisters worked very hard, sometimes multiple jobs to support the Family. They set a strong example of work ethics for Helene. Because Helene was the youngest, her job was to study hard and do well in school. And she did. She graduated from high school with honors and received a Speech and Debate Scholarship to attend Stetson University, in DeLand, Florida. She studied a year abroad at Freiburg University, in Germany. After graduating from Stetson, she worked to save for law school. Eventually, she attended Nova College of Law, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she graduated in 1986.
Understanding that not everyone has the same opportunities to an advanced education as she received, Helene wants to use her education, litigation skills, and experience to give back to our community and this beautiful country that gave Helene and her Family so many opportunities. Helene wants to give back the best way she knows how – by serving on the bench. Family and Service are very important to Helene.
Professionally, Helene is most proud of her AV-Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell® because it is based on anonymous peer reviews. She first received it in 2016. This is Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating for both legal abilities and ethical standards.
Personally, Helene is most proud of her two Children and the steady and loving home she and her Husband Bill were able to provide for them. Bill and Helene have been married for over 30 years and reside in Valrico.
Helene continues to work hard to become a Judge. She is blessed to share this journey with her Children, her Sisters and their Children, and her Mother, now 90 years strong who has 8 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren.
Please vote for Helene Daniel for Circuit Judge, Group 30.
